Life just got a whole lot faster for the young driver Lawless Alan as he entered into his first ever Late model series race. This just two weeks removed from a devastating crash in the truck series race in which another driver lost control of his car and put Lawless into the wall on the back turn.
With a new resolve he will now look to continue his season in the new #25 Auto Parkit car where the cars are bigger and faster.
“I actually like the Late model cars better, and I am getting more familiar with the car each day”
He was able to back up his words with a top 10 finish in his first ever late series race.
“I was really just trying to get a feel for the car while I was out there, I wasn’t even really focused on the other drivers as much.”
Starting from the 8th position on the pole, he avoided almost being consumed in another collision when the #77 car went into the wall. The race would continue with another caution slowdown in the last 10 laps when another driver spun out. Lawless found himself in and interesting battle for position in the last few laps as he was posting faster lap times than the car ahead of him.
It was an exciting day that lead to a standout finish for his first time in the late model series races. As always we at Dasher Lawless Racing would like thank our sponsors for their continued support and belief in the team and Lawless.
